January 2026 - For Such A Time

The story of Esther reveals how God can work through the direst of situations to bring about salvation for His people. God’s faithfulness, Mordecai’s honor, and Esther’s bravery teach us lessons about facing adversity that are fully realized in the life of Jesus. 

ELEMENTARY LESSONS:

MEMORY VERSE:  

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

LESSON 1: God’s Timing

During a time of exile and captivity, God was orchestrating the salvation of His people.
Scripture: Esther 1 & 2

LESSON 2: Mordecai’s Honor

Mordecai maintained his honor, even when he was bullied and threatened.
Scripture: Esther 2:19-23, 3

LESSON 3: Haman’s Pride

Haman’s pride was his downfall. Trying to exalt himself, he was humiliated in front of everyone. 
Scripture: Esther 5:9-14, & 6

LESSON 4: Esther’s Bravery

Esther bravely stepped up, even in the face of great danger.
Scripture: Esther 4, 5:1-7
